Yet another Elephant Island album is now available for free download! Holy jeez. Monument was released in 2006, perhaps our “Golden Era.” Emily Milliken was still singing and playing guitar, and we still refused to add bass to our mid-range heavy lineup. Ridiculous. We went on tour and everything. I still like a lot of these songs.

As advertised, this isn’t breaking news but I thought I’d post about the re-release of Panty Boy’s Orgy of the Senses… a steady stream of moderately relevant news makes me look like a professional who uses his website and fully understands the game-changing power of the internet. Right?

Anyway, this “classic” is now available for free download over at bandcamp. It’s pretty funny.

That handsome fellow in the photo with me is Jamie Cummins, who was the other half of Panty Boy’s live spectacle. He’s a genius in the kitchen and serves it up right at Relish Food and Coffee. You ought to eat there whenever possible.

Well, it’s kind of here already. Check it out! I’m sending it out to labels etc. to see if I can get some help, but if nothing comes through I reckon I’ll have time to do a modest independent release in early 2012. I am extremely pleased to be playing once again with the super talented Sara Marreiros on Sunday Sept. 18 at Le Pastel (426 Rachel Est). She and I go way back and we don’t see each other so much since I left Victoria. Still, we have continued to collaborate and will be playing some of our new tunes along with some classic fado and other good stuff. Danielle is also a real treat. Great voice. Great guitar playing. Great songs.

So come down and check it out.
